During the Sonsio Grand Prix at IMS this weekend, I heard transmissions like "12 car is now the leader" or "47 car issued drive-thru penalty" but also some ENC stuff on the same freq-CC-slot-TG combo. I heard two different people transmit in the clear.

I'm assuming this is also what is transmitted on 468.825 (it sounds like what I used to hear but I must be too far away or they lowered the power). They did thank the media for listening to the DMR chatter.

You are proposing adding this single-channel receiver, and an interconnecting cable, to the mix. But that doesn't answer the OP's question, which was:

If the OP can accept using additional devices to accomplish his goal, you're solution would work.

Hmm, this Receiver Pro looks very interesting. I was starting to come to the same conclusion that I'd need two separate devices (like a scanner and a small FM radio) and somehow mix them into my IEMs. I'll have to poke through the manual and see how the passthrough mode works. It looks like they have a non pro model that also scans.

Wow, keen observation. The op wants to remain on 1 channel (PA) so that does not need to scan. Program that into the Receiver-Pro and feed the Scanner with driver freqs though the Receiver-Pro. It has the ability to pass though the drivers audio as well as the PA audio.

I do it at every Nascar race I attend. With the exceptions that I listen to Race Control on the Receiver Pro and I use and ear bud in one ear and feed Drivers to a some Wired Shokzs and a earplug in the other ear. Works every time.

I'm not opposed to spending the money on the receiver if it does what I want as this is more or less a once in a lifetime trip, but I could also use it for my home races.

Frankly I don't remember if the passthrough function was working or not. Bought mine many years ago and I just always preferred the separate ear bud in one ear, and headphones over that. But my headphones audio was beginning to fail, so last year I switched to the one earbud, one ear plug and Shokz method and it works for me. I think I had to replace the 2 AAA batteries twice at the Texas Nascar race weekend a couple weeks ago.

Anyone been able to find the Fox Booth frequency?

I have the IndyCar Radio as 454.0000 for their broadcast; but since the large video screen cameras will be controlled by Fox TV, I'm looking for the Fox broadcast/reporter frequency. Can anyone confirm that its 450.6000 or 450.2625? And what is the Mode (NFM, FM, etc.)

IndyCar Radio is really great but what they will be discussing will not match what the screens are showing.......and the Track PA is all but useless once the race starts.

Thought I'd share the BC125AT program I created ahead of Qualifying. Some of the frequencies may not be accurate as I pulled some from old sources but all the important stuff like driver frequencies should be good. Here's how I have it set up

• Bank 1 - Drivers Primary with DCS
• Bank 2 - Drivers Secondary
• Bank 3 - Drivers Primary without DCS
• Bank 4 - Race Control, Safety, and misc. frequencies (misc. may not be accurate)
• Bank 5 - Radio, PA, and TV (Fox may not be accurate)
• Bank 6 - News Stations
• Bank 7 - Lucas Oil Carb Night Classic (may not be accurate)
• Bank 8 - Anderson Little 500 (may not be accurate)
• Bank 9 - Local Businesses
• Bank 10 - Airport

I only have Banks 1, 2, and 4 set to scan at power on. The others can be turned on and off as needed.

The usual and documented nxt and indy frequencies all in use. Including the two officials uhf frequencies were being used I heard a few tests on 467.0125. I was getting a ton of intermod and bleedover during my stay at track. Didn't even write down the documented and well.covered 450 and 455 pairs. Usually there same and if not a quick 450-451 455-456 finds broadcast simplex or repeater pairs in use. Close call found a t band hit being used in enc 477.6500 which could have been a team/manufacturer or series. But for all purposes could have been intermod/bleeding over etc. Ive caught few dmr finds during indy/nascar 470 range and usual trbo or nexedge. And not always enc

The indycar series uses racingcomunications from ga for the rentals yet prosrf mainly does the.consuting or licensing and both on are on this.. interesting... this is all straight simplex and the other typical rented on site trs.

I've been watching this thread and have a list gathered already for Indy that is from IndyCarFreq - Scanner Frequencies for IndyCar Fans not sure if it's right or not but it's a start, I also have some NASCAR Canada and Radical Cup Canada from earlier this summer, but I'm looking for USF Pro 2000 and USF2000.

Where can I source those 2 and sorry if this is a quick high jack, I am still watching for updates though related to Indy.

Radical cup na uses the typical usac freq. 464.550 516 but expect some changes with it being across border. usf2000 and usfpro 2000 are def not as documented as Anderson doesnt like sharing the frequencies.

One File contains the 600+ TX/RX Frequencies Registered for use in Canada for the Indycar and some of the USF Teams and some of the Series and Support Frequencies. Many of the Indycar and USF Team Frequencies are the same used here in the U.S. but it appears that a few may be Altered a bit for use in Canada. The other Files are, most likely, a Never Ending Work in Progress of Tracking the USF Team Frequencies. I have Identified many of the Frequencies and Tone Codes and some of the Corresponding Car Numbers used at Portland but these can bounce around to Different Team Car Numbers over the years. One File contains the Data from Last Years Race here in Portland when the USF Juniors were also on the Program. What you’ll see is the Team, Frequency, Identified T/C Used, the Series and, in some cases, the Car Number. The Additional Frequencies are all Potential Frequencies used by the Team with some Canada Frequencies Listed with a C and some USF Junior Frequencies listed with a J. The 3rd File is the same File without the Identified Data to use for Tracking this Year. You’ll definitely get some activity on many of these Frequencies but Entering them in the Radio may be the biggest Challenge. I have the Uniden SC230 where a Large Database like this can be Generated and kept as a File to Load into the Radio.

Indycar, IndyNXT, USF2000 and Pro2000 along with the ARCA West Series are here in Portland this Weekend so I will probably have a few more Updates at the End of Weekend. Be sure to Download the Entry Lists for the USF Series for Reference. I hope this Helps…

Awesome, thank you very much, I will definitely have a look over this. I appreciate this very much.

I tend to use my 436 in conventional discovery mode from 450-470 mhz. Lately I've been able to figure out how to do a discovery mode and just name each one different for each series. Has worked well so far. I don't tend to really have much time though to try and put names to channels/frequencies found unfortunately due to my role there. I may or may not even have a chance to do some scanning/searching. But if I do, anything gathered ahead of time is a plus for less programming to have to do while on the go. Re-progamming/re-organizing doesn't get done, if done at all, until I get home for the night.

Is there a spot onsite to buy a list at a local scanner/radio comms type trailer?
