• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Maybe the "passenger" talks to much, drowns out the scanner & thats why the air bag is non-deployable....lol j/k

Nice set up....!!!!

That looks great!

Did you take the outer casing off the scanner?

All the new GM's, for the most part, have this new system called passenger presence system. If you are under a certain weight or the seat belt is pulled fully out and "locked" then let back in, like with a car seat, it won't arm the airbag. If you are over the set weight, then it will arm..cool stuff unitl you have to work on it. hahahah

Sorry, it's the GM tech in me... heh :)

Nice install, very clean, I like that. What version is your Grand Prix. I drove a GXP, the one with the V8, that was a blast to drive. I want one now. Much more fun than my 97 GT. Alot fewer miles too :)
