All the new GM's, for the most part, have this new system called passenger presence system. If you are under a certain weight or the seat belt is pulled fully out and "locked" then let back in, like with a car seat, it won't arm the airbag. If you are over the set weight, then it will arm..cool stuff unitl you have to work on it. hahahah

Nice install, very clean, I like that. What version is your Grand Prix. I drove a GXP, the one with the V8, that was a blast to drive. I want one now. Much more fun than my 97 GT. Alot fewer miles too
