Does the Win96 Software I use for my Pro96 work with the 2096?

yes it does. you can also clone from a Pro96 to 2096

Make sure you get the latest version of Win96. Only the last 4 or so versions support the 2096 light configurations.

Actually, all versions of Win96 will work with the PRO-2096 as well as they work with the PRO-96. The only possible "oddity" you might see will be if you have a backlight timeout setting that is not an integral multiple of 4: such settings might cause the PRO-2096 backlight to initially be "bright" or "dim" (as opposed to the initialized setting of "off"). Pressing the 2096's backlight button will immediately fix this.

Right. That's why I said "Only the last 4 or so versions support the 2096 light configurations."

But, he has the latest version anyway, as should anyone who uses Win96, so there are no issues to worry about.
