Anybody have info on the trunked system (I think its at Rts 322 & 1). It's a business system. We're using it on Motorola CDM's now. Thanks for the help.

Hello,

Likely the radio is a CDM 1550 LS+ as it supports Passport LTR.

This is a Mobex system in the Automated Maritime Telecomunications System (AMTS) service. It was designed to provide telecommunications services for the Inland Waterway (Mississippi, Great Lakes) and US coastal regions. The FCC expanded the service to include land mobile. Mobex has systems in NYC, Philly, Baltimore/Washington areas and possibly other areas. The sites being used for Delaware County are in Philadelphia, PA and Winterthur, DE.

There is no scanner that tracks a Passport LTR system. You can listen to it conventionally if your scanner covers the 217 MHz range. Some scanners can not do 6.25 KHz steps in that range. A computer program like LTRTrunk and a data slicer with a low pass filter can decode and trunktrack the system. Passport systems usually transmit a sub-audible data burst every two seconds or so when idle.
