246 Trunking Delay

Whats up with the 4-5 second delay I am getting while scanning my local trunking system. I have the Channel delay time set to off and the system hold time set to 0. This is a very small motorola type II trunking system with only 2 CC's and I have only 15 ID's programmed in. Please tell me that this delay is not normal.
btw I would have asked in the 246 thread but with 884 replys I know it would have been lost.

Do you mean the audio is delayed? Not only is it not normal, I can't think of anything in the radio that could cause that. I sometimes hear delays between frequencies crosspatched, but that's a transmission thing. I was a bit confused my self, Hold means how long it will scan the system for activity. Delay means how long it will stay stopped on a talk group after a transmission before resuming scanning the current system.

I'm getting dropouts in the middle of transmissions that are annoying. I think I have good strong signal. I suspect that I have a priority channel I've forgotten about that it's going to take a peek at. But it's highly annoying. I don't remember the BCT8 gapping this bad to check priority channels.

No it sits there and scans the trunked system for a good 4-5 seconds before it moves on to the next system. I have no audio delay.

Uhhh I had the system in there 3 times
