246T Alpha Tag Question

Does anyone know how many characters (maximum) I am allowed on a TG alpha tag on the 246T. I can't find it in the manual anywhere, and I am puzzled at some that are being truncated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Apha tgs maximum is about 15 or16

Looks like 16 is the max I can get on mine for System name, Group name and TG names

I am using ARC246 and sometimes it seems to cut it off at 15 and sometimes 16. Not sure if its the scanner or the software.

You have a space character and the end or beginning of the alpha characters. Before typing use control-A and backspace to delete it. When you send a empty string or space character to the scanner it defaults to the TGID or frequency.

Exactly. and this behavior is also present in UASD for the 396 and 996.
