A few months ago I hooked a 25' piece of wire to my 246T to see if I could pick up anything with Close Call, the experiment didn 't work as I had forgotten to put the scanner in Auto Store

Anyway, tried it again yesterday, and in 3 hours, logged the following:

27.1150 ... CB (#12)
27.3200 ... CB (#31 = 27.3150, and #32 = 27.3250)
146.785 ... Not a Repeater frequency, bleedover from 146.790?
146.790 ... K6JSI Repeater
173.750 ... ?

I'm here a lot
It sounds like you live in the middle of nowhere .

That's three hours of activity ?

And it's just local yokels. Is there anything of interest to monitor out that
way?

City has about 450,000+, but the antenna was inside the Apt., and from what I gather Close Call isn't very sensitve, so that probably didn't help in picking up more.
