Just got my 246T a few days ago but haven't had much of a chance until now to really start working with it.

I've got all my conventional freqs programmed into the appropriate systems and groups and now I want to start working on the trunked systems in my area.

My question is this ... is it possible to have more than one trunking system in a system? Hope that made sense. Put another way, lets say there are three LTR systems I enjoy listening to, could I set up one system and then have the first LTR as group 1, the second LTR as group 2 and the third LTR as group 3, or does each LTR need to be in its own separate system?

I've looked through the manual that came with the radio, and also the online easier to read manual, but really wasn't able to find an answer in either one.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

As far as I am aware they need to be separate system but they can all be assigned the same qucik key.

Thanks for the info.

I think I've got it figured out now.

I've got the three LTR's each in its own system, and assigned each to quick key 3. If I only want to listen to LTR 2, I have to lock out LTR's 1 & 3. Kind of a pain in the butt, but it looks like it'll work.

Well why wouldn't you just assign LTR 1 to a different quick key? It's easier than locking and unlocking the systems!!!!

Because it's my understanding (which may be wrong, I'll admit) that I have a limited number of SQK's to work with, and I still have a lot of trunking systems I need to get programmed in.

Thats what I did not like much about my 246T, The lack of SQK's... 10 is just not enough. I'm sure they need to be in seperate banks or it will lock on several control channels.
