Here is a recording of Brazilian pirates being received on a 2m/440 ham radio in a car with small dual band amateur antenna. I personally recorded this while driving with a friend near Sao Paulo, Brazil and my friend listens to the pirates quite often on his drive to work. He says they are mostly long haul truckers chatting with family and friends on modified radios stealing the US satellites. It was very cool receiving the Brazilian pirates while in Brazil and finding its a hobby for Brazilian amateurs to listen in.
