I can't get the file to work on the phone to listen to it and will have to wait until i get home.

Going forward that frequency is used by the Maryland ANG A-10s based at Martin State Airport in Eastern Baltimore County. They do go to ranges and other practice areas in the states around it.

OK thanks for the info it's a MP3 file that's zipped up and it's around 14 minutes long around 2 mg I think.

Thanks for posting, interesting to listen to. A-10s working in the DUKE MOA. Note the reference to the town of Bradford and St. Marys. WARDOG and AXEMAN are Martin State A-10 callsigns. TOPCAT is the callsign of the McGuire KC-135 tanker.

Your reception sounds very good on that clip considering it's south of you and your antenna is facing north from an apartment (I think you said). I'd be very interested in hearing a clip of the Vermont ANG F-35s working VIPER airspace. Two known frequencies are 226.300 and 314.400. They've been up every day this week, usually active between 9:30-11:00 and 13:30-15:00. Thanks again for the clips.

I just started to lockout all the military frequencies that I and people like you have help me to identify, I am going to listen to the frequencies that I have and want to identify, I did not have 266.300 in my list and have added it and 314.400 I have but because of these other frequencies being so busy I think I mite be missing audio on them so with me locking out all the other frequencies that I have been help with identifying I can concentrate on them. I'll see if I can pick up any audio on these unknown frequencies.

Okay thanks. It's 226.300, that's VIPER common. 314.400 is VTANG A-A. I also think I heard them use 277.600 once as well ?

Forgot to add in my earlier comments on this thread that I live right next to Warfield ANB (Martin State), so the A-10s are in my backyard. Just over the fence from the apartment I live in. It's always nice to see them in the air.

Saint,

What are the frequencies that you are scanning? Do you have a list? I'm located in WNY, so not far from you.

For the BTV F-35s channel 13 appears to be 314.400. So far this seems to be the most common frequency used by them in the VIPER airspace.

Looks like they will be busy the next few weeks in the afternoon/evenings. Link - Burlington F-35s schedule.

Thanks for the clip. Given the distance of around 160nm your reception sounds pretty good.

Over the last week I've been able to determine that 226.800 has also been used frequently by the VT F-35s in Viper, and also but not as frequent are 234.800, 349.700 and posssibly 253.200 and 253.700. Other reported VT ANG A-A freqs are 238.250, 251.250, 256.500, 395.150. The Huntress frequencies of 277.600 and 260.900 have also been noted to be used by aircraft in Viper airspace as well.

It's really the first time I caught any audio on this frequency 226.300 that I could really decipher, Pick up a little audio on the AR-217 Track, the AR-206 is so close to me that's the track I pick up all the time. OK I will keep listening in and see if I pick up anything else on other frequencies.
