7/12/08 1845 EDT 146.82 Heard W2OQI/R near Manorville NY (Long Island/Suffolk County). CTCSS 136.5. signal was about s-5 then strengthened to 10+ S9 quickly. Had QSO /w W2OHM. looks as if it could be an interesting night between VA and NY and likely New England.
Tried listed 220 repeaters in Suffolk County NY with no success.
1930 Just worked N2YYC and K2AP on W2VL/R 146.85 PL 136.5 Glen Oaks, Queens NY.
2032 Heard N2OO/R Manahawkin NJ but was unable to access /w listed 127.3 CTCSS. K2UBG was on /w another station. Also hearing a D-STAR or APCO25 repeater 146.775 not local in SE VA. Anyone with a clue for the QTH on this one?

BTW the equipment is Kenwood TM 621A (2m/220) feeding Belden 9913 cable to an Austin Suburban triband (2m/220/440) unity gain antenna up about 20 feet.
