Database shows that there were changes to the talkgroups on 3/1/06... Any ideas as to what changed? Nothing is highlighted etc.

TIA,

The changes are located directly under the system description box. Heres the update:

Latest News Update Posted on 2006-02-27 21:34:30
16016 is used by MCC for radiodisbursement, lockouts and replacements of radios and such. Now you will hear them stating that they are switching radios from car to car because the new fleet has arrived.

That is two different dates & times. When the last "update" was made, no changes were evident. The remarks say "talkgroup changed". Since there is nothing highlighted, perhaps one of the bogus talkgroups was removed.

If you look at Tolland Cty, same thing, no obvious changes evident.

Bill thanks for pointing that out but Chris summarized my original question exactly... Maybe the mods could list deletions in detail in much the same way they currently list the changes?

3/1 might have been mine.

What I have noticed, is that if a talkgroup desciption is changed, it doesn't highlight. If a talkgroup is moved/added etc, it will show the change.

However, the two changes that I posted isn't clear.

32016 isn't an intertroop channel. Its the system wide "annocement" talkgroup for systemwide use. If the Message Center needs to send out fleetwide message (troop mobilizations, emgergenies etc) all the radios on the system will automatically revert to this talkgroup for the annocement. Its not a normal selectable talkgroup within the radio.

The 2nd one is:
20816 - This is the emergency revert talkgroup. If the emgergency button is pressed, its suppose to go to this talkgroup if not on a troop monitored channels (Disp/Car/Statewide etc). If its on some other tactical channel, it goes to this talkgroup and that message center should recieve it. At least that's how it was explained to me.

The only activity I ever heard on 20816 was a test of a prisoner transport vehicle radio (their words) way back in '02. That is why you had seen that channel labled as prisoner transport, someone took my comments and made up a channel use.

The "Intertroop" name is one that some troops use when they are on it for radio tests. I would guess that they can transmit on it as a regular talkgroup but also separately as an all-call. You often hear them use it to locate on duty troopers who aren't answering when called on the proper TG's.
