A quick note here - I understand CHU will be shifting their 7mhz freq up to around, I believe it's 7850 khz, in the next couple of months. If you don't hear it on 7335 tune up some and see if they've moved.

The time announcements UTC in english and french. On the even minutes it's
"CHU Canada, Coordinated Universal Time xx hours xx minutes" followed by only the time in french.
on the odd minutes It's "CHU Canada (insert french for UTC here) xx heure xx minut" followed by time only in english.

Up until about 1990 (?) the announcements were in Eastern Standard Time. ("Heure normal de l'est").

When they were using EST for time announcements, they NEVER switched to EDT during the summer.

As I said earlier, the announcements have been in UTC for quite some time now.

Palomar Engineers VLF converter is one way, it has been around a long time and works very well.

I guess I'm just curious....
Your first post says you just got your 1102 "today" and it works great. In the same post, on your signature line, you list the radio for sale.

What's up with that?

OK folks if you want to discuss LW feel free to start another thread. It's beginning to wander here.
