3 alarm fire at apartment complex in Bloomington this morning at approx 3am, at 321 E 14th St. Multiple casualties, one transported in cardiac arrest. All city fire units plus Bloomington Township on scene, day shift being switched in, but fire apparently now knocked down. Extra ambulances were requested from Bedford.

I don't think they have stated the cause.

Here's a link to two Bloomington online newspaper articles:

Student dies in Terra Trace fire | City & State | Indiana Daily Student (free)

and

One dead in apartment fire, students put up in temp housing [log in] (requires paid subscription)

I would post the text of the second article but I'm pretty sure it's copyrighted, sorry.

I heard some of the radio traffic from this live, and almost everything fire/EMS related I heard was on VHF, not SAFE-T, in case anybody is wondering which feed archives to listen to. Bloomington Police were on their normal SAFE-T TG.

A very sad situation.

WRTV ABC 6, WISH CBS 8 AND WTHR NBC 13 and Fox 59 and The Indianapolis Star paper have the story.
