• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

SALISBURY - Two Salisbury firefighters were killed battling a massive blaze. At least five other firefighters were injured.

Firefighter Justin Monroe, 19, and Firefighter Victor Isler, 40, both assigned to Quint 2, were among some of the first firefighters to respond to Salisbury Millwork on South Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue this morning.

.An employee of Salisbury Millwork reported the fire upon arriving at the building this morning around 7am. Crews initially found fire conditions in the basement portion of the building. Operations were originally offensive on the structure. Crews had to shut down rail lines to lay additional supply lines across tracks.

A Mayday was transmitted well into the incident and at least one Rapid Intervention Team was activated. Early reports indicated that some of the other injured firefighters were part of the rescue teams.

As the gravity of the situation became known, Salisbury firefighters were relieved on scene by mutual aid companies and taken to Station One for debriefing and CSID.

All Rowan County fire companies responded to the scene to assist in controlling the large fire. Additional assistance was received from Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Forsyth and Iredell counties.

Is it 3 or 2?

Is it actually 3 or just two? The subject says 3 yet the report says 2.
