At around 04:45 this morning, stations 33 and 69 were dispatched for a working fire at Kern Hardware, 450 Pequea Ave (PA 10), Honey Brook Boro. Heavy fire throughout an unknown size commercial structure. Mutliple companies from Chester, Berks, and Lancaster counties responding for mutual aid and to the scene. Latest round of relocates at around 12:30 sending 28 (Parkesburg), 29 (Pomeroy), 23 (Avondale) and 21 (Oxford) from Chester County to the fireground.
Command having major problems with water supply over the early part of the job. Two fill sites, one of which is about 2-3 miles from the fireground, in operation with an additional tanker shuttle in service at the nearby Honey Brook Elementary School. A civilian fuel truck from a local school bus company also responding to the scene to refuel the many tankers on scene. Honey Brook fireground still active as I post this...
At the same time the Honey Brook job hit (at around 05:00), 23 and 22 were hit out for a dwelling fire at 175 Pine St, in the Toughkenamon section of New Garden Twp. Command reporting heavy fire conditions on the #1 floor of a 2 sty S/F/D. F/U/C at 07:22 with m/a from Chester, Delaware, and New Castle counties.
Meanwhile, a 2 alarm working fire in an o/m/d has 4, 3, 5, and 54/56 responding to 115 E King St, Malvern. Dispatched less than an hour ago.
