I live in Portsmouth VA near the coast and from about noon till now (1320 EST) have heard "tiger 82" calling both "Eisenhower Control" and "George Bush Control" doing radio checks and have actually heard the carriers as well. Must be right off the coast as I've never hear the carrier before. I can hear props when the aircraft calls so it must be E-2. Frequency is 303.000 MHz AM. Happy listening.

I wonder about that. Information about casual channel names is very old. A new generation of users are likely to use references that are meaningful to them.

Are there any actual military pilots on the forum who can address this?

In the last month I've heard two references by pilots in this area using 303.000 as "Winchester". For what it's worth!

303.0 is still called Winchester although some just refer to it as thirty-thirty.
With more and more jets having VHF/UHF radios like the ARC-210, not all the air-air is on UHF anymore. A lot of heavy mil pilots are familiar with 123.45

125.125 is commonly used by one of the civilian training contractors. I can't remember the name now.
