There's a big event going on near me this Wednesday, so I'm prepping my scanner. I have a list of all the currently known talkgroups on the system they'll probably be on, and more than 600 of them I know they won't be on. There are some other talkgroups that they might show up on, and they might show up on some "new" talkgroups that haven't been used in the past.
I'm using bcTool. My plan was to put all of the "bad" talkgroups into one group and have the group locked out. The other group in the system would have the known talkgroups that they might show up on, and put the scanner in Search (open) mode. bcTool only took 204 talkgroups and cut off the rest.
I know there's a person in my region that uses his 396 to search for new talkgroups. I looked at the Wiki and it states for both the 330 and the 396 that the max talkgroups per system is 200.
What's the best way to go about doing this?
