346xt to search for AM radio

If I wanted to setup a custom search on my 346xt to search for local AM radio stations, what settings would I use for the search....search limit, modulation, attenuator, step, etc. There is a search already in the menu for FM radio stations and I'd like to do the same for AM

The BC346XT can not receive AM radio stations,although it can receive AM airband freqs and AM CB freqs.

By the way the sound on FM is only mono anyway, and IME very low-fi. Well, it's a scanner.

Sony makes a nice pocket size fm/am tuner with great sensitivity and excellent sound through headphones, and it's way cheaper than any scanner and only needs 1 AAA battery, which lasts for days. When I want to listen to radio on the road I take it along.
