Hi all,

I heard a signal today here in Ireland using the ID "Portsmouth 123" on 37.58 mhz PL tone 114.8
Can anyone confirm this as electrical utilities in Rockingham County?

I've heard Pembroke / Concord on this frequency with the same tone before.

Any info would be great.

Paul in Ireland.

Hi Paul,

That is in fact Unitil Corporation out of Concord, NH with the repeater located on Plausuwa Hill in Pembroke, NH

That is the Concord area's electric company in the South Center of New Hampshire. They also operate a separate division on NH's seacoast; where the dispatch/control center is for both divisions. "Portsmouth 231" is the dispatch/control center. During major storms (and skip over to you), you might hear "460" which is the old Concord Dispatch & Emergency Storm Center.

Their website is unitil.com | energy for life.

John
