I am new to the Military Air scanning and I heard a plane talking to Memphis approx. 9am,I was in the other room and did not catch most of the conversation as it was short, but sounded very clear.

I live about 50 miles NE of St.Louis if that is any help.

I am running a PRO-97 I just purchased yesterday and the antenna is this one here from RS http://www.radioshack.com/product/i...+antenna&kw=scanner+antenna&parentPage=search

I think you might of had an A/C talking with Memphis Center. I can't find it listed in any of my reference's.
I did find 383.2 as the Command Post 375th AW Scott AFB.
Even though I live in Fl., I can't get you going in the right direction if you need any help.

You could have been hearing a JOSA aircraft (C-21A) calling Scott AFB command post. I hear them quite frequently here in Nashville, Tn. 383.2 has been very active.

The first link is the most important. Download and save. I don't know which ARTCC controls where you live, I would check Memphis Center first. You can find current freqs for Scott AFB here also.

This will keep you busy for awhile. Do you have 349.4 programmed??

Give me a shout, if you need more help.
