Early am picking up 386.3500 FM digital talk on this freq.
Trips the P25 indicator on my 785D scanner but have a feeling is not P25 format as only catch first word of talk then acts like scrambled or encrypted Motorola talk.

Anyone else in Maryland area get this?

you might want to multiply 10.7 x 2 and add it to the frequency and see what you get. i think it might be a ghost from the true frequency. sometimes it happens.

Don't have the list in front of me, but it sounds like one of the new P25 encrypted 300 Mhz LMR system channels that Larry Van Horn (yes, of MT) and others have been searching for. It's something very new, and not well understood as yet. It's assumed to be DoD related; in your neck of the woods, perhaps Aberdeen Proving Grounds??

Yes Aberdeen is closest DOD to me and that did cross my mind.
Whatever it was it was very active for an early Sunday am.
Aberdeen's 400 trunked system is still currently active also but plugged this freq in and will monitor again.
Maybe some atmospheric skip so early in AM.
Nothing on it now...

Unlikely that it's skip; no weather systems in the area at the moment. More likely that the frequency that was being used has changed or perhaps the system is in a testing mode. Unfortunately being encrypted, it will be very difficult to get accurate information as to what's going on in this band...
