39.72 MHZ

Have been copying an open mike from time to time over the last week or so on 39.72....seems strongest in the Timonium area....copied on various scanners....have yet to detect a PL. This was part of the old Balt Co VHF-Low bandplan....and I believe I previously read somewhere that it may serve as a backup patch channel for the Balt Co 800 system (alternate to 39.56) although I've never actually heard it in use. Anyone aware of the scoop on this freq?

If strong in Timonium, you're probably hearing the Lutherville transmitter at Falls and Padonia Roads. The license paperwork just says "Baltimore County FD", for that site, but no changes wre listed recently.
