39.9 repeater in sarpy county

There is a 39.9 repeater in Sarpy county. Looked up there callsign for the frequency and the callsign has a Standby Mobile Relay (FBS) for Sarpy county. Bellvue FD was using it along with Offutt AFB Fire, Otoe County FD, and I believe Avoca FD. They were using it for tanker ops. I was receiving it at S5 on my Icom706 with a 1/4 wave six meter whip antenna about 3 feet off the ground in northwest Omaha.

That is a Patch on the Sarpy system at the Courthouse. It is done via the console. I believe I heard it tied to Fire Com 1 this time. I think, don't qoute me, it assignable to different talkgroups during different needs.

So Sarpy County can repeat/patch whatever talkgroup they want on 39.900? I did hear a repeater on 39.900.

Yes, they can take a patch from 39.9, 39.98 to whatever talkgroup needed. When LifeFlight lands, they patch 39.9 to HELO Talkgroup usually.

They can even patch their system to the Douglas System. Two talkgroups tied together.
