396/996, HOW many talkgroups per 'group'?

I'm sure I saw somewhere (but NOT in the manuals) that you were limited
to 20 talkgroups per group.

Is this right, or??

Ruarc,

There's a limit of 20 groups and 200 TGIDs per system. You can have as many TGIDs per group as you want (as long as you don't go over 200 total for the system).

Yes, I see in the docs that the 996 has 250 TGs, but HOW are they set?

I'm hoping it's more than 20 per group, but want to make sure so I can adjust my setup accordingly.

You can put as many talkgroups in as many groups, as long as the total number of groups doesn't exceed 20 for the system, and as long as the total number of talkgroups doesn't exceed 250 for the system (200 for the 396).
