396 and System Hold (delay)

I had my pro 97 and the 396 on, one to my left (97) and one to my right (396).

With the same set of frequencies (basically), the pro 97 was picking up signals way before the 396 did.

I went into arc396 and examined the systems. Most had the system hold at 2 seconds. I turned them off and reloaded the scanner.

Bingo! Side by side the 396 kept pace with the pro 97.

I like the feature, as a priority delay for the main system, but for all others, it pays to shut it off.

Yep, it all depends on how much, and how long, you want to monitor a system.
