396 and the best case

Can you give me your opionion of which case is the best one for the 396. I am looking for one that is preferrable a soft case with the best design. It must be well conforming & snug to the scanners shape. Ive seen the one from scannermaster and the one from Uniden. Any others out there. Let me know what ya think.

I've got the Uniden case and am quite happy with it. It provides a nice snug fit and isn't bulky at all.

Soft case

Check out LilKase. They make a real nice soft case for the BC 330 and 396 as well as Radio Shack scanners.
I have one for my 396 and it's great.

Can you describe the material they use for that case? Is it a neoprene type like the BodyGlove cellphone cases or something else?

Not sure what it is. It's not like the bodyglove material, I've had a case for the cell like that. Feels and looks like a soft leather with a nylon backing on it.

Yes, I made a BIG mistake when I lied about my involvement with the cases on the Yahoo groups. I am trying to distance myself from that mistake but still support what my daughter is trying to do. I was answering the question here and nothing else. I REALLY don't know what they are made from. I am not trying to hide anything, be dishonest or be deceitful. I just was trying to promote their product from a user standpoint. I DO pay the web hosting and Paypal payment part of her small business, that's all. I am a satisfied customer and that's what my intent was on posting as I did on Yahoo and here also. I used very poor judgement and I apologize and hope that is accepted as it is meant.
