I currently have 2 systems programmed into memory - one is set to SCAN and one is set to SEARCH. From time to time these get mixed up. The SCAN system will start searching and the SEARCH system will start scanning.

The last time this happened the SEARCH system remained correct and the SCAN switched to SEARCH. I do nothing, they change on the fly.

Anyone else experience this?

If you hit the Scan button, it will toggle this function. Perhaps you didn't realize you hit Scan somewhere along the way?

Or / And go into each system manually on the scanner and set each to what you want them to be doing, Scan versus Search. Under 'Edit Sys Option' - 'ID Scan/Search'

or... If you're using any software to program it, see what the software setups are set to and ensure those are what you want them to be. [That way if ever you update the scanner via the software you'll know what those systems, any and all of them, are set to.]

I have done this; as described one is set search one scan.

I do hit the scan button after I have hit hold on a certain talkgroup before - maybe I toggled it as wjf stated - I will have to pay better attention the next time I hold to see if that is what is causing the results I see.

I usually press hold a second time to release it. That always goes back to the correct method and avoids the possibility of an accidental double click on the hold button.
