396 choppy squelch

Anyone else have problems with choppy, Pro-92 sounding squelch on the 396 when it receives a weak 800 signal? I have my squelch set on 1, but it still happens.

Hopefully a future firmware update will fix this.

you might want to change radio location and adjust you squelch, i have my squelch set on about 1, that should help. i say this because
when i first got my 396 i encountered the same situation. try that and
let me know if it works

My 396 with the latest firmware has a lot of static noise on some 800 Mhz stuff.Seems to be a bug with the firmware.I am used to it now.

yes its the firmware it sucks balls... i had to switch back

I have my squelch set on 1 and firmware version 1.10.01.

I guess I'll just have to wait for a future firmware fix. Maybe doubling the number of possible squelch settings would help.
