396 programming question

Hey Guys,
Ordered my 396 and per UPS it'll be here Wed. Now, I've read a bit and I have to tell you all programming has me a bit spooked. So is it that bad or is it sort of like programming my 296? I'll be using both the ARC software and the Uniden software that comes with it.

Joe I downloaded the software from the Uniden site, on both the BCD396T and BCD996T played with it until the scanner came and uploaded it to the scanner. Another thing to do is download the owners manual and start reading now, I also did this with the previous two scanners as well. Good luck you very good choice of scanner you made the top line model out there now. Then go out and buy the BCD996T too...LOL. Josh

MAN !! That wife thing is a real killer for us in the hobby , i dont think ill ever stop having the 396 thrown in my face , and she is the one who told me to "go ahead and get it" forget the bills , and other things we could spend that money on ! so i bought it , and now the grudge everytime we need money for a red sox game or going away for a week. WE come up with the money for these things , but then i shoot a little revenge twords her, "just think honey , we can listen to Boston PD and Fenway security , and MSP and so on , and she just gives me a look. usually a look of death , then i quiet down.

Oh here's one better. The scanner came today as promised. I programmed it up at least for now it's programmed somewhat the way I want it. She comes home from work and it's with my other scanners going trying to get a charge and I hear the words "So did you get your SCANNER today? Where is it?" I thought I was going bye bye. She was kinda cold toward me but she's doing ok now - hours later-lol

these woman dont understand our wants and needs , my wife asked me , "you already have two digital scanners , why do you need this newest one" ? refering to my 250-D and 785D , so when i try explaining the rebanding issue thats going on , she totally gets lost and repeats the same question, so if you already have two digital........i just laugh , but if i were to even mention the 996 as a replacement for the 785-D , there could be a paper coming from probate court in record time , so i figure ill some how quietly come up with the money some inconspicuose way , .....lol...yea right , but damn if i dont try !!

Same Here About The Legal Issues 800c1.

Gonna Wait Awhile Until The Initial Bugs Are Worked Out For The 996 & Maybe The Price Will Moderate A Little.

She Will Say "Where Are You Going" & When I Say The Words "J&S", That's When The Silent Treatment Begins.

I Guess I'm Better Off Saying I'm Going Out To Hooters Maybe?
