396 vs 396xt volume button

Just wondering on the 396 where if you want to turn down the volume you will show 1-10 I think. I didn't like that 1 was loud still to me for earpiece. I was wondering if the 396xt has the same volume button function?

UPMan: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to fifteen.
UPMan: Fifteen. Exactly. Five louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
UPMan: [pause] These go to fifteen.
