396t no p25 audio

I have a strange one. I have a 996t and a 396t. Same program in both, the 996 works fine, the 396 works on analog channels, it stops on P25 channels, displays LNK or P25 but no audio at all comes out. Ideas? I checked the AGC, reloaded the program and no luck. I also wiped out the memory and loaded one known P25 which the 996 was receiving, no change.

Sounds like a hardware problem..Trip to uniden i would suspect..

Thanks, that's what I thought as well but was hoping someone had seen this before and it was cockpit error. I am still optimistic, but less so...

UpMan if you see this, this is my original thread on this. I have cleared it completely reloaded the FW, done a memory clear and added a couple channels manually to see. then I loaded from the SW and all the same result. There is no audio on the 396t when the 996t has perfect audio, but the 396t stops on the active conventional channel and shows P25 on the screen when audio would be avctive and LNK when it is not.

It could be a DSP (or other) failure, then. Time for repair.
