396T Showing DAT on GRN

States DAT -appears when data on a control channel is being received
that means you are on a recognized p25 frequency, but that does not account for being on a talkgroup
as for 996 ? well maybe they are not receivng same freq.
when i scan thru a p25 system display shows DAT when it looks at control channel then when changes to LNK when it shifts conversation to the frequency of the trunked system

same problem by the sounds as my pro 96 is having. will show various TG's but wont track due it looking for the p25 cc and instead of picking up the old GRN. will however pick up the tg if scanned forward to the current grn scan bank. the other problem i have is if a p25 cc is nearby like at home it wont recieve anything on the current GRN, subsequenty i have to lock out the p25 control channel(it is another cc frequency elsewhere on the curent GRN)
