396T Software and Files Corrupted on Uniden's Site?

A friend of mine bought a 396T this week after I suggested it was just about the all-in-one scanner at this moment. He called me up and said he could'nt make heads or tails of it to program it. I picked it up and told him I would download the software and give it a whack since I'm versed in the RS Scanner software and Butel's line.

So far, I have downloaded and re-downloaded the bootloader "loader", the firmware and the programming software .zip files and they are all corrupted. I wondered if I was having an issue with .zip files so I attempted to open up about a dozen different ones already on my computer and no problem with any.

Is anyone else having this problem? I really need to get this back to him tomorrow before I leave town so I would like to do it tonight. Does anyone have a mirror source?

take the .zip off. It should be an .exe

I'm gonna go off on a limb and say you're using Firefox?

I had the same problem. Just drop the .zip, and everything will work.

Yep - it's not the files that are currupted - it's your browser. It added an erroneous .zip to the end.

Hey, while we're talking about this, did you receive a license code via email when you downloaded the software? Because all the emails Uniden sends me have no code, just a blank space where it would be.

If you do have a code, would you mind sending it to me via PM or something? Because ARC396 is rather buggy, and I need the code run UASD.

Since the software is free, and I've already given Uniden my name and email address several times, you won't be hurting anything. And I'd greatly appreciate it.
