396t software ?

hi all ,,i just bought a 396t ,,i'll be picking it up next week ,,,,is the software thats avaiable from the uniden web site the same software that comes with the scanner.....also,,,i've never used software to program b/4 ,,,whats the purpose for it,,,? can the different systems like fleetnet ,,,apco 25 , trunking be listened to at the same time while scanning or can you only listen to one at a time ,,,,

The 396 did not come with software. Uniden makes it available via the 396 product support page on the Uniden.com web site. You will need to register and a password will be sent via email in order to use the full program.

You may want to check out the firmware upgrade if your 396 is not up to the latest revision. (1.07.01).
