396XT close call

I learned to use the close call feature & found a couple racing freq's and put them in my scanner w/freescan. Now, I want to shut off the close call? Don't know how let alone how to put the freq w/just the scanner itself.

press and hold the top left side button (function) and hit the top left button (hold) until the weird looking thing in the lower right of the screen disappears . check for a pm on the other.
