396XT P25 Display

Is the BCD396XT suposed to show P25 on the display when receiving a P25 system transmission? I listen to Roanoke County Va. on the new P25 system and my scanners display does not show anything different from an analog system.

If you are in display mode 2 or 3, you will not see anything different. If you are in display mode 1, you will see the frequency and the "P25" indicator.

How do you get to display mode 1?

Press "HOLD", Press FUNCTION, Press "6" to step to desired display mode.
