It has been this way for years. Even going back to the 154.935 VHF days.

In the past there have been situations where one troop had a major incident and the patch was taken down and split or the non incident troop was patched to one of the 1A C or D groups. During my commute into Boulder county there are times I heard 3A/3C when monitoring 1D.

You should seriously consider getting a RTL SDR dongle and a SDR program such as Unitrunker or DSD+ Fastlane, to log/monitor a particular site and see how exactly things are being patched in your area over time. Basically Denver Dispatch always maintains several patches between numerous talkgroups within their coverage area, the patch combinations change randomly with no obvious pattern. As a general manner, individual troop talkgroups (i.e. 1-D West or East) never operate in isolation except on rare occasions during critical incidents as previously mentioned.

Troop, do you know if they are still patched or if their separate now? With CSP changing in some areas.
They are still together and will probably always be. Everytime they try splitting them, Glorious I-25 always brings it back together
