What are the popular modes of operation on the amateur 4 metre band?

(I am spelling it that way in honor of the fact that it is not an authorized ham band here where the word is spelled differently.)

Is there much activity? DXing?

There's a 4 meter station here in the US. And we spell it meter here.

There may be some NA stations running under a special license. You can probably find some sort of EU or World band plan using Google.

You can check 4 Meter propagation here --> QSO/SWL real time maps and lists

I've never seen any 4 meter NA activity on the site. It's always in Europe and elsewhere. (But I rarely check the 70Mhz propagation). I use dxmaps more for 6 meters than anything else.

It's officially metre here in Canada, but I use meter.. I don't plan to change :)
