As per eyewitness news today at 12 noon,

2 were killed, one shot behind the ear, the other in the back.
It was gang related. They were KNOWN members of the crypts who killed a member of another gang at a BP gas station somewhere.

No arrest made.

All over the map.

It was the BP at St. George and Adams in Linden is what they were referring to. That incident wasn't that long ago. Last month I think? UCSD K-9 attempted tracking last night, but was unsuccessful. UCPO Homicide Task Force responded, as did CSU.

Really sad thing is, honestly, none of this suprises me. Everyone who lives in this immediate area saw more stuff like this coming. The war between the sets in Linden, Roselle, and Rahway is growing. We're not the Jones' suburbia anymore in Roselle and Roselle Park...

When Elizabeth PD advises it's officers to use extreme caution on the Roselle border instead of the other way around...yeah.

Makes me happy my son is moving out of NJ and won't be working in Elizabeth any longer.

Yup your right, it usually was Roselle using caution near Elizabeth.
About 2 years ago, they arrested the head of the bloods in Roselle, same street as me but 4 blocks down. And I live on the good side of town near Wood Ave. Also if you walked past his house you knew he was the head of the bloods, all the inside walls were painted red.
Oh the BP shooting they were talking about was another one that just happened at 10:30pm Wednesday at Third and Pine St. Elizabeth, he died yesterday at 1:30pm. His name was spanish, so maybe he was a member of the crypts or another spanish gang. Around December we had another gang shooting death down around 12th & Frank St in the heavy drug/gang area. They tried to get NorthSTAR and Air-1 I think up but they were fogged in.

Ahhhh. Okay, I know which one now. So many BP's and so many gang murders around here any more...

I remember that night, and you're correct. NorthSTAR was actually stuck on the pad at UMDNJ. They had just brought someone in, but everything rolled in quick and they had to stay put. They were going to have RPD run an escort for Rescue, but at that stage it was pointless.

Keep in mind though...it's only February. With the turf wars going on, it's reason able to think we'll have another "Blood-Red Hot Summer" as it was dubbed last year. How did Corey Booker put it once? "Up goes the mercury and so does the body count." - All Roselle will do is hold some more "community meetings". Yeah, like that'll work.

To stay on topic though, some articles...
