Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to figure out the spacing. Trying to listen to Fort Carson FD. Need any help that one can offer.
Well, yse. The Uniden has a very strange way of calling one thing something else. The actual
spacing (according to
our information) is 12.5KHz. The
offset should be 380 (as this is normal). What Uniden chooses to call these things is a mystery but in any case the right numbers should go in the right spots.
Real Definitions:
Spacing = The distance in KHz between adjacent channels
Offset = The first channel number used in the channel line up for the base frequency. 380 (Hex 0x17C) is the normal "first" repeater output channel, those below 380 are input channels.
In some VHF/UHF systems, you may find more than one Spacing/Offset/Base setup for the system.
