407 Units

Does anyone know what system the 407 maintenance units are on now.I see the units on the 407 east in the Durham area.Also was wondering if I.M.O.S. is using the NEXDEN system.I do hear them on the DMR system for the 407.Thanks

There are also I.M.O.S. on FleetConnect as well. Baffles my mind why they use two different systems.

The original 407 is leased/maintained by 407 ETR, so they are dispatched/coordinated by the 407 Control Room. The new sections are still in the hands of the government and are dispatched/coordinated by MTO through the COMPASS centre in Toronto. Could explain two different radio systems on the highway...

I hear IMOS on both FleetConnect and OnQ systems but the majority of all 407 activity I hear is on FleetConnect. It’s not just on the 407 talkgroup either. I hear them quite often on the York talkgroup. It’s more than maintenance too. Last week OPP clocked a Lamborghini doing 199...OPP called407. 407 put out an alert to its units over FleetConnect.
