I was hearing Bangladesh (SW, not Ham) on 7185 KHz this morning around 13:00Z weak, but copy-able with music until some hams came on right below it.

I'm using a 40m OCF dipole (windom) at about 20ft. Signal was audible on both TS520 and R75.

Hi guy,

er......thanks for your report but I don't think SWL logs is the point of this forum. There's other site that specialize in various kinds of listlogging.

Not trying to bash you or anything but a listlogging site this ain't and this discussion forum would get out of hand and lost if everyone just starting posting "what I heard" logs here.

Good DX to ya & trust you understand bro

Good catch. Bangladesh is a real challange with all the hash and trash on 40 Meters.

Like the title says HF MONITORING ... post away.

GOOD CATCH! Especially with a low wire.

I enjoy listening to all the Chinese stations at our sunset greyline ... they really boom in some days.

Agreed! I can't be everywhere at once on all the bands, so I appreciate posts like these.

Then what do we post here, if not what's monitored on HF spectrum like the title says?

Thanks guys. My purpose for posting was two-fold. One was to post what seems to be good band conditions, the other was to perhaps encourage newbies that you don't need any kind of exotic antenna to hear some good DX. I wish I had room for 2 antennas and I could have left the PAR end fed in place to compare, but my main goal was to get something up that would allow transmitting. Thus the dipole.

Today, on the same 7185KHz, I was hearing R. Taiwan Int at around 12:40z but by 12:50 it had faded and Bangladesh was fully audible in English until 13:00. In 30+ years of radio, I know that signals coming over the poles are few and far between so it's good to still get excited about something.
