I've been hearing activity on 415.325 (PL 110.9). Unsure who it is. I checked my US government resources and it may have something to do with USFS. Units are calling the dispatcher "Camino" and I know that is a CDF reference. Does anyone know if this is a control link of somekind for CDF?

THanks for any help.

Bill

Now hearing similar activity on 415.450 talking about "Grass Valley" which is another CDF reference. I was unaware CDF had control links in this freq range. Anyone have a full list?

They are US Forest Service link channels. Remember that both "Grass Valley" and "Camino" are joint dispatch centers for both CDF and USFS.

OK, I wasn't aware those stations were joint USFS/CDF stations. Learn something new everyday. Anyone have a list of those control links and where transmitters may be located?

This is one of three UHF links for the Eldorado N.F. I thought they had been replaced by microwave links. I've had them locked out in my scanner for years. The other two are 415.225 and 415.575. I'll have to turn them back on and check for activity. Norm.

I am located atop a 1700' ridge near Placerville. A great radio location. Norm.
