436 Charging/Run Time

Once again, not finding anything in the owners manual about this. When plugged in charging all night on factory rechargables, (yes, scanner off) my scanner says 4.09 volts at best. My scanner beeps and dies at 3.10. It appears this is the lowest I can set it. Is this right and why doesn't the manual cover more on this? Frustrated on lack of education on product but love my scanner..

It kinda does on page 32 in the manual. You have an option to set the voltage for the low battery alert. The range is 3100-3400 mV with the default being 3300 mV, which is 3.1-3.4 Volts with the default being 3.3 Volts.

I suspect that Uniden was figuring any further discussion would be way too technical for the typical user and didn't want to thicken the manual with that kind of thing.
