436 VS 536 Sensitivity

Picked up a 536 after reduced sensitivity on my 436, using a DPD 800Mhz mag mount the 536 is substantially more sensitive vs the 436.. The 436 sql is set to 2 while the 536 opens at 4, the 536 hauls in sigs about 25% better. Curious if others experience the same, sure seems like some 436's have hotter front ends. My loss of sensitivity seemed to get worse after batteries died, after replacing them I had to recycle thre power 4-5 times to get reception again. Just got static before it finally lit up again.

btw The tip about setting the PC baud rate on port solved 536 front USB issue, been running 6 hours in storage and VC mode in ARC536 no issue so far. Prior that the damn driver would not show up.

536 VS 436

I sold a 536 because of it skipping past things and just poor performance,i think the 436 is alot better,could use a boost in air band maybe 400MHZ but its alot better than the 536HP overall .Decodes better,most sensitive especially on VHF high band and 800Mhz.
