Just got my 436HP and was doing a little bit of comparing with my 396XT. Noticed my 436HP usually picked up signal faster, but seemed like the output was more choppy? compared to the 396xt. Is there a setting/adjustment that I can tinker with to make the output more clear. Scanning Moto P25 system.

change the band plan to FM from NBFM in the ranges that you are picking up p25 signals. in the 396xt this helps, perhaps in the 436 this will too. No difference you can change it back. A quick change.
it was on AUTO
Programmed another system in, seems like it picks up loud and clear. Project 25 Phase I system is loud and clear, but the Motorola Type II SmartZone system is still choppy. Any idea or adjustment I can make?
