Today, I took the 436HP plunge and started this bad boy up for the 1st time. Wow, what a difference this radio has made on my local radio traffic. I cannot seem to find the range button yet. I am learning the functions.
From what I've read about this radio, there have been 436 owners who have experienced dust beneath the display. So, I wonder if running a very small bead of silicone along the edge of the display might avoid this problem? Since Scanner Master is out of hard leather cases, I am strongly considering paying someone to make one.
