Got a hit on 453.500 in Fairfield county as a digital signal with a NAC of 293. Anyone have info? FCC license info shows CT airports with analog emissions The only digital designations were for White Plains NY but that is a stretch to reach.

With the aforementioned band openings, the 40 odd miles from White Plains NY to Stratford are very much more likely than the OP thinks. The only digital designations were for White Plains NY but that is a stretch to reach.

There's no real geographical features that will prevent that, it's basically right up the Shore Line East.
know of any good uhf maps or 800 maps?Yes huge band opening this morning. You easily could have beem hearing Westchester or Mass. on that freq. I was hearing stations 300 miles away. You can see the band openings here. Once you get orange or red over you, that shows the intensity of the distance transmitters are getting very distant. There was a lot of red a couple hours ago. Turned to orange now, but still pretty good.
