Today I'm picking up traffic on 453.625, NAC: BD2 in Escambia. They seem to be using the 10 codes but I haven't been able to lock down the user.

I know who the license belongs to. Just trying to narrow it down if it's road ops, code enforcement, etc. Seeing if any of the local listeners in the area have been monitoring the freq. Thanks for the help though.

Those are the Countywide channels used by the SO and PPD for mut aid, and confirmed due to the fact Gary montee is the guy incharge of what is done communications wise for the sheriffs office. But yes they are for the SO and the countywide freqs there should be a total of 3.

I recorded over 200 transmissions on that channel yesterday and all I heard was unit numbers, arrived (street name) and departed (street name). They used the 10 code but not like SO uses them. There were no other detailed transmissions or conversations. Only time the conversation was detailed was when dispatch said they would be 10-7 for 5 minutes. This was clearly not a mutual aid or SO/PPD channel. I hear MA on 460.27500 A8 Mutual Aid (Analog) all the time.

It is a set of 3 freqs that the SO runs and maintains for County Wide comms/Inter-op, every user has access to it, PPD, ECSO, Road Prison, Fire, EMS, EOC.....etc etc yes they use 460.275 for PPD/UWF more often but this set of 3 freqs were allocated for a set of common freqs county wide for interop that the SO controls

This channel is shared between Code Enforcement Officers and Animal Control Units.
Code Enforecement office is the dispatch.

Two questions.
1. Should I mark the channel as code enforment or Code Enforcement Officers and Animal Control?
2. Is escambia no longer using the old Animal Control?

Well I guess Code Enforcement.
Some Officers handle trash, some handle dogs! Seriously, Animal Control has been moved around so many times, they used to be under Public Safety.
the old freq will not be renewed from what I am told.

I believe you said there were 3 CW channels. Do you know if the one we have listed is CW1?
